A lifelong New York State resident, Jack Cheevers has seen the Albany political machine deliver high taxes, late budgets and endless bureaucracy, driving businesses and people out of New York. As industry and employment plummet, the state deficit has skyrocketed, approaching $40 billion.
In announcing his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Governor of New York, Jack has challanged Albany "leadership" both in the governor's mansion and on the legislative floor.

How Albany "Leadership" has Failed Us.
In most of the state property values are dropping, and the state is losing its most valuable asset-its young people.
Ignoring the root causes of these problems, the legislature marches in an enforced lockstep using chairmanships, bonuses and stipends to keep every member in line with the leadership - no innovation, no fresh thinking.
New York is a state of government by the politicians, of the politicians and for the politicians. It is a state without true leadership and without a vision for the future.
Unless there is a genuine change in thinking, there can be nothing but more of the same. Jack Cheevers offers a new approach, and a new start.
His vison is to Save New York, and to start by Fixing Albany.
